Charity Marathon Dance in Fleet
A charity 12 hour dance marathon is being held on Sunday 20th October 2002, in the Harlington Centre in Fleet.
This “Jiveathon” is being held to raise money for research into Endometriosis, an enigmatic disease affecting millions of women all over the world.
The target is to raise £10,000. All proceeds will be divided between two charities, the National Endometriosis Society and the Simply Holistic Endometriosis (SHE) trust.
All throughout the day, there will be dance lessons from some of the top Jive, Swing and Latin style dance teachers in the country as well as music from some of the top DJ’s.
This is organised as a social event so as well as having lessons and dancing, people will have the opportunity to relax and socialise. They will also have the opportunity to purchase dance clothing and footwear.
Full event details, application and sponsorship forms can be obtained from the official website jiveathon.ianrogers.net. Application is a mere £10 in advance or £20 on the door.
Finally, if people are unable to come to the dance but would like to make a donation, these would greatly appreciated. Please make cheques payable to “Jiveathon” and send them to:
Jiveathon 30 Boleyn Drive St. Albans, Herts. Al1 2BS

A photographer is welcome to come along on the day. If this is not possible, and you would like photographs, please contact the Jiveathon Press Officer (asif@jiveathon.com) to arrange.
Both charities have their own web sites and these can be found from the jiveathon site homepage. Presentation of cheques to the charities is to be made after the event (date not agreed yet).
