Music and Dancing

No-one will be policing how much you dance – just be there for the times you agreed and dance as much as you can. I recommend dancing 2 records on, 2 records off all day.

There will be a wide range of music played. If you don’t like a tune then either check out the other hall or be glad of the rest and make sure you dance to the next one you like. There will be many excellent dancers from many venues – dance with people you’ve never met and you may be very pleasantly surprised.

Advertising

Teachers, DJs, the beneficiary charities and any body else who has contributed time to the event in some way will be eligible to put flyers etc. on the advertising desk. Please do not add anything to this desk without seeing Ian Rogers or Paula Dexter. Please do not ask to add flyers if you have not contributed time as that would not be fair on those who have.

The Venue

Harlington Center, Fleet Road, Fleet

The whole venue is completely non-smoking!

There are showers and changing rooms available at the venue if you feel the need to refresh yourself during the day

A cafe serving drinks and snacks, and a bar, are available in the venue. There are many fine restaurants and pubs right next to the venue for hot meals.

Video Cameras and Photos

There is no official video of the day, so you should respect the teacher’s wishes about videoing classes.

But, in fact, don’t do it. Practise the routines well and let your body be the best memory of the day…

If you have a digital stills camera, and take any photos of the day, please send a copy to Ian Rogers to be included on the Jiveathon photo gallery.

Have Fun

Well, that’s it really, just have loads of fun!
